Blog 5: Changes to my study programme
My plan of study this semester consists of 6 courses: Statistics II, Neurophysiology, Developmental Psychology I, Social Psychology I, Psychological Theories and Systems, and Psychopathology. Also, a communication skills course and an English course. Classes are held in the campus classrooms and also in the faculty building.
In relation to this, the only thing I would change is that all the rooms where we have the classes have access to a stable internet to make it possible to record the classes. In addition, it is necessary that they have better lighting that allows a good visualization of the PowerPoint presented with the projectors belonging to each of the rooms.
Regarding the workload, I only have complaints in 2 courses: The first one is Neurophysiology, because it is a very demanding branch, which has mandatory texts and videos to review for each class, and also activities that have to be solved every week in a portfolio. This generates an overload of work because of all the time that has to be invested in all this and also in the face-to-face classes. For this reason, the modifications I would make are to reduce the hours of work and eliminate the face-to-face classes, since the videos serve the function of passing the subject of the branch and not in the classes.
The second one is Psychopathology, because it is a very academically demanding field, with 5 reading controls and 2 tests, which are done by reading several texts. Therefore, the load is higher due to the weekly readings and the constant evaluations. Faced with this, I would like to reduce the number of controls because they take up a lot of time during the week that is necessary for the obligations of the other courses.

I agree with your comment :D
