My favorite piece of technology

In the current times we are accustomed to using different pieces of technology in our daily lives, such as the computer and television. But if I am honest, my favorite of them all is the mobile phone. Not only because it is easy to take it with you everywhere you go, if not because it is an essential element in the activities of my daily life. 

In the mornings I wake up with the alarm I set on my phone, with it I can talk to my friends (because of the pandemic I don't see them often), I can have video calls with my older sister, I can listen to music, watch videos on YouTube, search for information, see the calendar, take pictures and videos (to my cats especially), I have also downloaded applications for my entertainment, for playing games, reading books and comics, I can even do online shopping just with my phone. 

For all these reasons and more, I believe that my life would be very different without my mobile phone and I consider it a good investment of money. Although this does not mean that I approve of the consumerist culture of constantly changing phones to a new, more updated one.

One of the series that has really captivated me has been "Anne with an E," which is an adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's books. Blog 5: Changes to my study programme

My plan of study this semester consists of 6 courses: Statistics II, Neurophysiology, Developmental Psychology I, Social Psychology I, Psychological Theories and Systems, and Psychopathology. Also, a communication skills course and an English course. Classes are held in the campus classrooms and also in the faculty building. In relation to this, the only thing I would change is that all the rooms where we have the classes have access to a stable internet to make it possible to record the classes. In addition, it is necessary that they have better lighting that allows a good visualization of the PowerPoint presented with the projectors belonging to each of the rooms. Regarding the workload, I only have complaints in 2 courses: The first one is Neurophysiology, because it is a very demanding branch, which has mandatory texts and videos to review for each class, and also activities that have to be solved every week in a portfolio. This generates an overload of work because of all...

Blog 4: Time travel to the past or future

Although it sounds a bit far-fetched, if I had the possibility to travel back in time wherever I wanted, I would not hesitate to travel specifically to 15th century Scotland, that is, in the medieval times when castles were at their peak along with the presence of the valiant Highlanders.  The reason I would like to travel to that particular time and place is mainly because, several years ago, I read my first Scottish medieval novel, which started my love for reading and for that wonderful country.  With a fascinating and even magical way in which life inside the castles, guarded by loyal warriors who gave their lives to protect their people, was described. And also how the beautiful landscapes that characterized the surroundings of the castles are detailed.
